Pontefract
The original home of liquorice! Our Pontefract site, founded in 1884, gives a nod to its history with specially preserved liqourice plants that still grow on site. Rebuilt in 1925, the factory now specialises in liquorice, gums and nougat.

Producing sweet treats since 1996, Low Poppleton Lane covers our toffee, fudge and chocolate products. Including the iconic Raspberry Ruffle. Our highly skilled employees don't stop there, producing traditional boiled sweets such as the classic striped mint Humbug by hand!

Home to our famous Taveners Confectionery and Princess Marshmallows, the Edge Lane site has come a long way from the 1920's days of hand-dipped chocolate eclairs. Blackpool
Originally built for manufacturing tiles, Vicarage Lane switched to a tastier product line when George Burton set up his Gold Medal biscuit production here in 1939. In 1995 Vicarage Lane set its sights on sweets and began producing confectionery instead. Vicarage Lane now produces Henry Goode's Liquorice, Wine Gums, Fruit Pastilles and Fizzy Cola Bottles.

Blackburn
Dating back to 1928, Blackburn is known for its iconic sugar coated mint, producing upwards of three million everyday. Blackburn grew its reputation in the 1960's as one of the UK's first manufacturers of sugar-coated cake decorations. Now specialising in all things chocolate including coated mini-eggs, chocolate covered raisins and nuts.
